Competition Report

Yesterday five members of CUKC travelled to the Derbyshire town of Chesterfield for the Central Region Championships. After a convincing win in varsity last weekend could such a modest numerical entry continue our fine tradition?

Judge for yourselves.

Five CUKC members came back with 3 gold medals and a further 6 medals as detailed below. So successful were the CUKC five that two other club instructors commented that it was impressive to see CUKC with such a large entry to the competition.

Competition is not only about winning. It about how you behave and develop when under pressure. Our reputation within the KUGB was enhanced by this magnificent performance of all five competitors (3 of whom joined CUKC as beginners).

Also at the championship CUKC were acknowledged for their 43 years as members of the KUGB Central Region.
