Chris Luecke - Club Instructors

3rd Dan KUGB

Chris started learning Karate at CUKC in 1995 under Senseis Malcolm Howlett and Y. Hatziiouannou, after developing an initial interest through travels in Japan and studies of Bhuddism. Remaining with CUKC for eight years, Chris acted as Captain in 1998-99 and taught within the club regularly thereafter, taking a particular interest in fostering the development of lower/intermediate grades. Competition successes have included winning 1st place for team kumite at BUSA (1999) and 4th place for team kata at the KUGB Nationals (2003). Chris passed Shodan (1999) and Nidan (2001) under Sensei Enoeda, and Sandan (2006) under Senseis Sherry and Naylor - and is a KUGB referee. Since 2003, Chris has been studying Karate at the Liverpool Red Triangle under Senseis Sherry, Poynton and Brennan.
