Competition Report

The Shotokan Cup took place on Saturday 7th September. This is the National individual championships of the KUGB.

CUKC was represented by (left to right on the photo) Petre Nicolescu, Richard Poole (Coach), Iulia Comsa and Marcus Ingham.

All competed with distinction in the senior individual mens and ladies kata however it was only Marcus who succeeded in reaching the final, winning bronze medal with a stunning performance of 'Unsu'. To put this performance in perspective, second place was taken by ex World (WSKA) junior champion and current British champion Jack Summers. (Marcus is second from the right on the medal photo)

This was an excellent performance.
